Return/Refund Policy
*Customers are responsible for customs fees, brokerage fees, and international taxes which are not calculated at checkout. If an order is refused due to non-payment of these fees, we cannot guarantee that we will receive the item back in our warehouse. Many carriers will dispose of international orders that have been refused. In these instances, we are not able to issue a refund or a replacement.
Before placing an order, review your local tax laws, and international duties, or contact your local customs department for additional details. All international orders will include tracking information so that you can keep track of your order throughout transit.
*7-Day Exchanges Available For Most Exotic Leather Hides - Case-by-Case Basis*
Most Exotic Leather Skins are "FINAL SALE" meaning that they cannot be returned for monetary refunds, due to the inherent nature of the item - as they are finished, sourced & produced in our tannery and directly offered to the client from us, rather than through a middleman. However, in order to better serve our customers, and understanding the high investment for these valued goods, we will offer monetary refunds on a case-by-case-basis as outlined below for you:
Please, by all meas do feel free to contact us without hesitation if you believe that the item that you purchased does not meet your expectations and our team will make sure you are taken care of to the Best of our abilities - for potential exchanges/returns, the Buyer is responsible for all logistics Fees - meaning, return shipping fees, CITES cost (if applied), & any other fees that may be applicable.
Depending on each case-by-case scenario, we may be able to offer a full monetary refund, a replacement hide, subject to stock availability, or a form of credit through Gift Card/Store credit valid for reimbursement of the same or higher value. Monetary refunds will be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging - without abridged use - given that the quality of exotic leather is highly subject to its condition. We appreciate and thank you for this understanding!
Where it may be pursuant & applicable, please contact us with ample Proof/Evidence such as Photos and/or Videos that make abundantly clear the error caused. This is required.
Please note that when returning Exotic Leather skins, if applied during purchase, CITES Guidelines will have to be adhered to if subject to such regulations - fees, expenses, etc. will be the Buyer/Returnee's responsibility when delivered w/o usage of logistic international courier & freight companies, or if CITES certificates were requested on behalf of the Buyer, by the Buyer.
You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. IF and only if both parties are able to agree to a monetary form or value form of refund exchange/replacement, YOU HAVE 7 DAYS UPON DELIVERY OF THE EXOTIC LEATHER SKINS TO RETURN THEM TO SENDER AND BE GRANTED A MONETARY REFUND/EXCHANGE/CREDIT VALUE in EXCHANGE.
In summation, refunds, exchanges and/or credit will be offered upon an exclusive case-by-case basis:
- There is an issue with the quality of the product (example: Grade 1 Finished Quality Leather Skin Does not match the standards of a Grade 1 Finished Quality Leather Skin)
- To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging - without abridged use.
- Issue is brought up to our team within 7 Days upon receipt of the purchased product
- There is an issue with the color/Finish of the skin (example: Matte Blue Alligator ordered, But item Delivered is Glazed Blue, etc.)
- Logistical errors on our end (henceforth defined as Address errors inputted by our team, the wrong item being sent, color/species/finish issues on our end etc.)
- ALL SHIPPING ERRORS ON BEHALF OF DELIVERY COMPANIES & COURIERS UTLIZED, DOMESTIC & INTERNATIONAL, MUST BE ADDRESSED WITH THE APPROPRIATE PARTIES/ENTITIES. YOU AGREE THAT SUNNY EXOTIC LEATHER TANNERY IS EXEMPT FROM THIS GUIDELINE.
Please note that returns will need to be sent to the following addresses: our USA, Malaysian, Chinese or Hong Kong warehouses, or to an address of one of our international offices that we specifiy during discussions.

If your return is accepted, we will send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. You will be responsible for all shipping fees pursuant to a Return as outlined in abundance above. Please ship via a Trackable Service to avoid issues with carriers.

European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds / EXCHANGES Updates
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and when an exchange/replacement will be shipped, you’ll be notified. Thank you!
Order Cancellations:
Please note that Exotic Skins, Leather Skins are unable to be cancelled once the order is placed. Given the nature of the items - Due to the documentation/customization or both required to ship & make them, we are unable to cancel orders once Placed, unless logistical issues occur in which case we will address the issues timely. We also move fast in sustaining the high-valued service you appreciate, so order cancellation is not possible once placed - please wait until you have securely received the items before requesting any refunds or exchanges.
For other types of orders cancelled before shipping, there will be service charge of 2.5% to cover payment processing fees.
Payment Methods:
We accept all major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Paypal, as well as Shopify Pay and secure payment methods through the eccomerce platform.
Returned items must comply with our returns policy:

Items must be returned unworn, undamaged and unused, with all tags attached and the original packaging included.

If an item has a security tag or brand tag attached, it must be returned with the tag in its original position.
- Returned within 7 Days upon receipt of Product by Buyer.
Please take care when trying on your purchases and return them in the same condition you received them. Any returns that do not meet our policy will not be accepted.
If needed, photos will be required for claims of products not being received if tracking shows otherwise, so be sure to have some ready in this event.
For packages requiring signatures please be sure to remain vigilant for arrival as to avoid any confusion. If package is returned to sender, buyer will be responsible for re-shipment fees.

Returns Process (Summated)
Should you receive a faulty product or not the product you ordered, open a query, and send customer support/service with the relevant photos. We will send you instructions on how to proceed within the next business day following your request if agreed upon. The Buyer will be responsible for Return fees given the nature of shipping through customs (if CITEs was applied, the Buyer must cover CITEs Fees)
In brief:
• You have 7 calendar days, upon confirmation w/ us through email or messages, to return an item from f it meets the requirements to be returned, and if and only if it is in original mint condition, given that you as the Buyer cover all returns shipping fees (including CITEs if Applicable). Again, in most cases, Exotic Leather skins/hides, custom Finished or Natural, cannot be returned due to the inherent nature of such materials, nor are international (non-USA) shipped products/goods due to customs laws.
• All returns must be unused and received in its brand new, original condition.
• Allow up to 2 weeks from the date we receive your return for processing.
• Refunds will be issued to your original form of payment, or applied as Gift Card for reimbursement valid to the amount listed on said store credit.
• We have the right to deny any form of credit if the return does not meet our policy requirements above.
• It must be reiterated: for most orders of any size, exotic leathers, exotic skins, made-to-order custom finishes and sales items are final sale, again, unless logistical or description/faulty issues occur and discussion is confirmed w/ us & our team beforehand for any upcoming progression.
INTERNATIONAL TAXES AND DUTIES / CUSTOMS AND CITES
For USA-based clients, duties will be covered until we have a more confirmed update, due to present regulatory laws around logistical shipment of high-valued goods such as our 100% genuine finished exotic leather skins.
Customers from outside the USA will be responsible for inbound duty fees, tax, or any other fee that the local customs authority applies, if neccessary. You should be kept updated as such of these regulations especially if ordering bulk quantiites.
These fees will be paid to the local carrier and not to Sunny Exotic Leather Tannery. It should be noted, therefore, that we cannot be involved in any dispute or query regarding such fees. This is solely between the customer and the shipping provider. Note that all Sunny Exotic Leather Tannery orders for international customers are shipped duties and tax unpaid – or DDU – so we recommend that you ask your local postage provider for details of the charges you may be expected to pay.
Note that some international couriers will pay any duty and tax on the behalf of the customer as the package enters the country. This is to enable delivery in good time. The courier will need full payment of the taxes they have paid from you before the item is released and there may be a small administration fee for this service.
Given the nature of the products exchanged, CITES issues may arise with customs; in such instances this will be dealt with in a timely manner to ensure that all deliveries comply with international laws regarding the sale of exotic leather handbags, goods and products. Generally, you will receive your exotic leather product safely & securely, guaranteed.
